【Description of item】

The Hato pattern originates from a Noh song about the mystical beauty of Chikubu Island seen from Lake Biwa. Rabbit has traditionally meant jumping. This set depicts a rabbit lightly flying over the waves using the delicate technique of maki-e.

There are three colors: black, vermilion, and tame.

*Maki-e is a unique Japanese decoration method in which patterns are drawn with lacquer and polished by sprinkling gold or silver powder. The brilliance of high-quality lacquer and gold and silver is a small piece of art on the dining table.
